Debt Ceiling 2011 Social Security
The Debt Crisis in 2011 and What You Should Know?
Is the debt crisis really just more lies and scams by those at the top? Are the members of congress really any closer to sorting out the debt problems of the US, or are we really doomed, and is this deal just delaying the inevitable?
While the republicans and democrats fight it out on Capitol Hill to try and work out a deal to ensure the US does not default the little guys like you and me have to sit back and shake our heads at what is going on.
It was not obvious on Saturday that either party agrees with a deal. But one thing that the politicians did agree on was that the US is looking at a severe collapse and the US cannot sustain the current path it is on. The US has never been in a deeper fix than we are now. There are many economists calling for a full collapse and now many people see their side of the case.
The dysfunction of congress right now, is embarrassing for our country. The only thing standing in the way of the house proposals of the senate, is the president and senator reed. These two guys do not have the slightest of clues as to what is going on, and also they both do not know what actions to take. It’s enough to make the hard working Americans sick.
The debt crisis meetings are still being conducted but neither the democrats or republicans have enough support to turn their legislations into law. It seems that both sides are unwilling to compromise. You cannot cut social security and Medicare to try and make people happy. But that is what they are trying to do. These actions would have drastic consequences down the track.
It is the American people saying they are not happy. And can you blame them? Thousands of people have been calling into the Capital and sending messages to their law makers to get this done, and so far it hasn’t worked.
Raising the debt ceiling is not a good idea. That is really just like maxing out your credit card and going to the bank to get your limit increased, it’s a short term fix to a horrific problem that will only end up in heartache and tears for the good hard working Americans. The smart people right now are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. It is probably something you should be thinking about doing right now also.
